After graduating, he attended Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Oregon and later graduated from Fresno State University and spent his next four years at Kent State College Of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed a three year residency program at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Alex Ramirez is a true staple to the Santa Fe community and is an expertly-trained foot and ankle surgeon. He sees patients in both Santa Fe and Las Vegas, NM. Dr. Ramirez attended Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia and completed his residency in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery at the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. He has continued his education in hospitals across the country, continually learning about foot and ankle conditions and new treatment technology. During his education he spent six months on a medical volunteer mission in Peru and Guatemala aiding in underserved communities. He is passionate about helping his patients recover, get back on their feet, and continue living active and healthy lifestyles.
